:::MY THOUGHTS:::

                In the midst of watching Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, compared to the plot and the characters, the overall editing and effects in the movie are very on point. Even though this film shows too much unrealistic and repetitive combats, there are scenes I gave an eye on them and appreciated the film work. There are two scenes that i favor the most. The first scene that attracts my attention is the scene where Scott battle against Ramona's first evil ex, Matthew Patel. The fight happened in a local club, and it started during Sex Bob-Omb's performance for the musical band tournament. Matthew Patel bashed from the roof of the club and started his fight with Scott, even though Scott was still confused and had no clue about what he encountered. Matthew explained everything and soon, Scott realized the guy he faced with was Ramona's first ex. Later on, a combat started. Matthew also summoned his Demon Hipster Chicks during the fight, yet Scott still defeated them by throwing a cymbal towards the "chicks" and punched Matthew on his face. In this scene, the lighting effect in the scene is more noticeable compared to other scenes in the movie film. When Matthew bashed into the club, the angle is good enough to show good spotlights in the scene. Besides, the animation effects where can be seen in the summon of Demon Hipster Chicks and the power unleashed by Matthew are also another point that attracts me the most.

                Other than this scene, the another scene I like among others will be the scene where Sex Bob-Omb meet up with Katayanagi Twins. After defeated Roxie, the 4th ex of Ramona's, Scott had to battle Katayanagi Twins at the same time, which are Ramona's 5th and 6th ex. This had become a stress to Scott, since the twins are not just two of the evil exes league, but they are also Sex Bob-Omb's opponent in the music tournament.  In the tournament which can be meant as the combat between Sex Bob-Omb and The Katayanagi Twins, the twins took on Scott and his music band as dual keyboard players. They even summoned two gigantic dragons when they played their keyboards. At first, they took down the tournament, but Scott and his band are determined enough to fight back by summoning a Yeti out of their performance. Lastly, Sex Bob-Omb won the tournament and at the same time, Scott had cleared the 5th and 6th ex of Ramona's. With enough points, Scott was able to earn an extra life. In my opinion, I like this scene was mostly because of its different way to battle the evil exes league. They battle against each other by playing music and without any physical attacks. The setting and the crowd are good enough to describe the intense yet nervous condition. Moreover, the animation in the scene has no doubt to be the most fascinating animation work in this film. The mix of real human acts and animation are perfect enough to resemble the fight, and it is not confusing to watched. Even though the combat with Katayanagi Twins is the shortest combat among all fights, but the summoned Dragons and Yeti is always noticeable by other audiences as this scene is special enough to catch the audiences' attentions.

:::TO CONCLUDE...:::

                As a conclusion, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World is well- directed by Edgar Wright because of its special concept of movie, which is shown like a tournament game film, along with good edited scenes and clean animations. Though the combats between Scott Pilgrim and the Evil Exes League are quite repetitive, the characters are well constructed with different personalities and looks (plus the fighting method of each battle too!). It may not suit every audiences' tastes, but overall, it is a movie I will suggest to my other friends, as it is unique compared to others. If you are a fan of combat games, this will definitely be a choice for you to spend your time!
